Welcome to the Patches Passport Game, where your business becomes a local destination — not just a store. This promotion isn't just a game… it’s a strategy to bring real people through your doors, drive sales, and build brand loyalty right in your own community.

This rule book outlines exactly how to play your part, stamp with confidence, and turn foot traffic into loyal customers. Let’s go!


šŸ“ 1. Registration – Lock In & Show Up

Each month, only 20 businesses can register to be a featuredĀ Passport Player.

Here’s what we need from you:

  • Business name + address

  • Photo of your storefront (to help participants recognize you)

  • Your logo (for digital publication and print)

  • Website and Facebook page (if available – more info equals more exposure!)

Shortly after you’ve submitted your information through the Registration Form and purchased your spot on the card, you’ll receive:Ā 

šŸŽ As our gift to you:

  • A wall certificate to display in your Passport Zone (create a fun, inviting zone in your store that designates where the stamps are given - if not at the register - possibly even set up special Passport Zone buys.Ā 

  • A Patches Passport T-shirt to wear in your promo pictures or use in your zone decor

We also provide:

šŸŽÆ POP (Point-of-Purchase) Supplies Provided:

  • Your business-specific stamp set (1 purple, 1 green)

  • A giant ā€œGrand Prize Winnerā€ check for display

āš ļø Stamps and prize check must be returned when the promotion ends. Businesses who fail to return items will be billed a $500 replacement fee and paused from future Passport promotions.


šŸ”– 2. The Stamp System – What You Give, What They Get

There are two stamps—and only two. They serve to designate your 2 types of foot traffic and help better define your ROI.

šŸ”“ Visitor Stamp (Purple)

  • For walk-ins who don’t purchase

  • Stamp once in your designated space using the purple stamp

  • Only 1 purple stamp per person, per business, per game month

🟢 Customer Stamp (Green)

  • For customers who make a purchase of any amount

  • Stamp your spot using the green stamp

  • No need to add a purple stamp if they purchase—green says it all!

This is where it gets good — customers earn stamps based on how much they spend in your store:

  • $10–$50 = 1 Stamp

  • $51–$100 = 2 Stamps

  • $101–$150 = 3 Stamps

šŸ’” For example: If a customer spends $400, stamp the card once with the green Customer stamp and write ā€œx8ā€ inside the stamp and have the cashier initial it so the customer cannot add additional numbers. This is crucial—the number of stamps reflects the value they invested in your business, so it only hurts your reputation if your team does not use integrity and falsifies the purchase amount. This also gives you incorrect data by artificially inflating your ROI and will mess with your inventory and month-end numbers. Falsifying, or recording false data, will result in errors in your end-of-event report and customized suggestions for post-event processes.Ā 

šŸ’° In the event that your business is a service (for example a roof repair) and the customer is not paying the full amount of the service on the same day during the contest duration, only give credit for the amount of deposit they have paid for. This promotion was designed with you in mind- it is to encourage customers to invest in your products and/or services. They should only receive credit for the amount paid on the same day as you stamp. Unfortunately, if a customer purchased a service the prior to receiving a "Game Card" or before the event begins, it is your job to upsell or apply add-on services to be able to give them a stamp. It only robs you if you choose to violate the event duration as it speaks to the credibility of your ethics and quality of your work. It is more damaging in the end. Our goal is to get customers to you - how well you provide service to them is up to you.

***Note: Make sure you and your employees understand that each store has a unique set of stamps and using your store's stamp on a different store's spaceĀ will disqualify the Passport Card Visitor/Customer and could get your business blacklisted and you will not be allowed to participate in a future Passport.Ā 

šŸ“Œ There is only room for 3 stamps per business on each card—use them wisely and legibly in the interest of the customers so as to build trust with them.Ā

This promotion is all about getting customers off the couch and into your store. It’s your chance to shine, engage new faces, and give them a reason to come back again and again.

Here’s how to make the most of it:

  • Create your warm, branded Passport Zone (blog available with dĆ©cor inspiration + merchandising tips!)

  • Wear or display your T-shirtĀ and wall certificate with pride

  • Use the giant prop check to spark conversations about the game and prizes

  • Encourage staff to stay energetic and welcoming

✨ When customers feel your positive and energeticĀ vibe, they want to support you— not just for the moment but repeatedly —and they'll tell others too.Ā 


šŸ’” 4. This Isn’t Just a Game… It’s a Growth Strategy

This campaign compresses months or years of exposure and engagement into just three weeks.

We’re sending motivated customers your way. But remember:

šŸ“‹ 5. Important Guidelines & Good-To-Know Info

  • Game Period: 1st–25th each month

  • Participant Age: Must be 18+ years old

  • One Passport per participant per month

  • No back- dated stamping or ā€œoops I forgotā€ additions

  • Use only your assigned purple/green stamps in your assigned spot on the cards

  • No photocopies, no ā€œjust this onceā€ exceptions

  • Winning cards are drawn shortly after—1 Grand Prize Winner and multiple Runner-Ups will be selected at random
