Patches Advertising & Marketing is a family-owned business born from the late-night dreams and heartfelt conversations between two sisters, Merianne and Melodie. Raised in the rugged, resilient West, they grew up with a simple but powerful philosophy passed down from their parents and grandparents: “Use it up, wear it out, make it do, or do without.” That mindset of grit, creativity, and resourcefulness lives at the core of everything we do.

Merianne, a longtime sewing entrepreneur, knows firsthand the hustle of turning a passion into profit just to keep dinner on the table. Melodie spent over a decade managing big-box retail and nearly 20 years in fast food, where she specialized in turning underperforming stores into profitable operations. After years of “flipping” restaurants, she chose to shift her focus — trading corporate cleanup for community impact. Today, she runs her own print-on-demand store and brings that same turnaround expertise to fellow business owners ready to grow.

This spirit of entrepreneurship has even passed to the next generation — Merianne’s daughter, Adrianne, has started her own side business too.
